“Maybe time didn’t heal wounds exactly, but it gave you a kind of armor, or a new perspective. A way to remember with a smile instead of a sob”

Night road by Kristin Hannah is another emotional heartbreaking book about family and how grief and tragedy can transform a happy  person into a shell of their former self.

The story revolves around Lexi and Jude. Lexi is a teenage girl who lived in foster system most of her life and finds family in her Aunt Eva and the Farradays. Jude Farraday is a mom of two twins- Zach and Mia. The story shows alternating narrations and gives us perspective of a family, from both a mother's and teenager's point of view.

This book highlights how much effort it takes to keep balance in the family and how easy it is to shatter it.

The story might be something you've read before, so it's nothing original but the way the author evokes emotions through her writing will make you want to read this book till the end. The writing style of the author is nothing short of amazing, she makes you cry in every book of hers and this book was no better.

If you’re a fan Kristin Hannah you might like this book, but she has written better books. And, if you’re looking forward to read her work for the first time, I would suggest you pick up some other book like The Nightingale or The Great alone.
