Three brothers used to live in the Australian outback. Two meet together in the middle of an expansive piece of land and leave the spot with a barrage of questions looming in their heads. What happened to the third brother? Who is the Lost Man? Are you curious to know the answers to these questions?
I usually go in blind when I start a book- by that I mean I had no Idea what this book was about. That is probably the best way to read mysteries. Right!
This book gripped me from the first page with it's carefully paced story, unfolding slowly and alluring me with it's eerie atmosphere.
The book is full of suspense, twists and turns. The morality of characters keeps on changing and that adds a lot to the thrill element to the book apart from the carefully guarded mystery.
The story being set in Australian Outbacks really adds a beautiful, natural layer to the story and makes the plot more believable. I got to know about how a few communities live in isolated and extensive pieces of land, manage it in harsh conditions and make a living.
Harper adds information you need so delicately and timely, leaving you with new and probably bigger questions than what you started with. Every character is intelligently written and placed in a spotlight turn by turn. But the real question always hover in your mind.
This book is an entertaining read which will keep you engaged and won't disappoint.
